Dear Friends, Happy autumn! Southern California may finally be over it’s heatwave, and elsewhere, the leaves are changing. Back to school, pace of life is picking up, and the conference season is on. I just attended the Seeds of Deception Conference with renowned scientists presenting the latest research on the dangers of genetically modified foods (GMOs). A free replay of this compelling 6-hour conference will be available soon. Sign up on their site for more information. I urge you to become active in your own life and in informing others about this serious threat to our health. If you’re in California, please vote YES on Prop. 37, to label GMOs — “We Want to Know” what’s in our food! And speaking of back-to-school, for all you students of any age (me included!), I have a lovely story to relate here on enhancing focus and concentration. When 12-year-old Dylan’s mom, Kate, called me a week after our visit, I was hoping there wasn’t a problem. She’d brought him to see me in response to his teacher’s urging that he be evaluated for attention deficit disorder (ADD) and placed on a stimulant. Kate was a “natural” mom and knowing my position as the “non-drug doc”, brought him to see me. Instead of prescribing drugs for Dylan I prescribed FOCUS Natural Mind, along with Super EPA, a great source of omega 3 fatty acids, another essential nutrient for brain function. Dylan took 2 FOCUS capsules and 1 Super EPA capsule each morning with breakfast. I had them agree that he start each day with a good source of complex carbs, protein, and fat, such as oatmeal or whole grain toast, and eggs, to keep his brain nourished through the morning. Dylan’s teacher called Kate a week later to thank her for heeding her advice and getting him on drugs. Not! Kate was very happy to call and share this with me, and I was delighted. PS: he is still taking his FOCUS and Super EPA 6 months later and doing great. How about adults? Last month I was talking to my friend Daniel, a brilliant artist and literary agent. He mentioned that his doctor had just prescribed a stimulant, Ritalin, to treat his attention deficit disorder, but he was reluctant to take it for fear that it would interfere with his creativity. I suggested that he try my FOCUS Formula instead, and sent him a bottle. A week later I was touched when I heard the following phone message from him:
“I just wanted to thank you for the FOCUS Formula. I think is the finest supplement I’ve ever encountered. I just deeply appreciate the thought, brilliance and training that went into creating it. I also want you to know that this is first time in my life that I’ve ever taken a supplement and felt a difference! I’ve been taking it for 3 days, one in the morning and one in the early afternoon.”
“I can feel a palpable difference in my clarity and in my mood swings. I’m also sleeping much better and waking up feeling great! So I just want to thank you — and order more of it. It’s fortuitous and miraculous that I ran into you, literally, the night before I was going to start taking Ritalin! Thanks again!” Along similar lines, Theresa, who works as a clinical consultant to a supplement company sent this e-mail:
“I am writing you to thank you for creating such a wonderful product — FOCUS. I wouldn’t have been able to get through planning a conference, presenting, running back and forth three months prior to the conference to feed my sick mother every day, without it. I began taking FOCUS along with my daily vitamins. I was excited to notice a change in a couple of days: my mental clarity and energy returned! Within a couple of weeks I began feeling like myself again: I was thinking clearly, and my concentration and energy levels kept increasing.Today I am still taking FOCUS and won’t be without it.” P.S. She began buying it by the case (“I don’t want to ever run out!”) and now, over a year later, reports still being “on track” and very grateful. What more can I say? This is why I created FOCUS, and this is the kind of report I hear, time after time. I designed FOCUS to help support the brain in doing what it’s supposed to do: It supplies nutrients that make the chemical messengers called neurotransmitters that whiz around your brain, carrying impulses that raise your mood, organize your thinking and help you to concentrate. For more information on ingredients and how FOCUS works, have a look at my Reclaim Your Brain e-book, available here. Since you’re getting the newsletter, you likely already have it. If not, sign up again. And have a look here too for specifics on ingredients and dosing. FOCUS will be on special this month (until Oct. 31) with a 10% discount on all orders of it with coupon code, “attention.” Yours in good health. Hyla Cass, MD
