Using Amino Acids and CBD for Mental Health

I’m sharing a recent podcast interview hosted by Debbie Nelson on the Alternative to Meds Podcast. During this engaging conversation, I shared insights into my journey in integrative mental health care, specifically focusing on the roles of amino acids and CBD.

In the early days of my residency, I observed the limitations and side effects associated with conventional medications. This led me to explore alternative paths, understanding the influences of nutrition, diet, lifestyle, and supplements, particularly amino acids and CBD.

Throughout the episode, I emphasize the importance of a holistic approach—rebalancing the body and brain while gradually transitioning away from traditional medications. Unfortunately, mainstream medicine often overlooks these alternative methods, influenced by the pharmaceutical industry.

Sharing from my personal experiences, I discuss my transition from a collection of brain medication supplements to embracing the potential of CBD. We explore how low levels of CBD can manifest in various symptoms, including anxiety, depression, migraines, and more. By supplying CBD or cannabinoids, I elaborate on how the endocannabinoid system, responsible for vital functions like rest, relaxation, and stress reduction, can be restored.

Join me in this episode as we explore the transformative potential of amino acids and CBD in mental health. This conversation sheds light on alternative treatments and provides valuable insights into harnessing the power of these natural solutions.
